Guatemala Country Manager

Mayra Ciraiz Rivera is based in Guatemala City, Guatemala and provides governmental relations and public affairs services for GTH’s clients in Guatemala. Since joining GTH, Mayra has focused on public policy development with various Guatemalan government institutions and as an advisor in Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama.

Prior to joining GTH-GA, Mayra served as a consultant for the UNODC in Guatemala, a consultant for BlueForce/INL Guatemala, a legal and technical consultant for IEPADES-UNICEF, a legal/technical advisor for Civil Intelligence at the Ministry of Government of the State of Guatemala, a Foreign Service National Investigator ICE/DHS at the U.S. Embassy Guatemala, and as a legal representative in lawsuits for the National Bank of Guatemala.

Within the private sector she has provided professional legal services to clients in different areas, including civil, labor law, immigration, commercial, family law, disputes related to children/minors, human rights, trademarks and intellectual property, constitutional law and international private law, public notary services and legal and business specialist and advisor to local companies in Guatemala.

Mayra is a Guatemalan attorney, a public notary, and a graduate of the Rafale Landivar University of Guatemala with a Major in Social and Judicial Sciences, a Master Degree in Human Rights, and an MBA. She is Spanish native and is fluent in English.
